Cashier Bookkeeper

This position is responsible for assisting the section supervisor in operation of the area and assisting Cashier/Bookkeepers on more complex problem solving. It is also responsible for quality control and training of staff within the section.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and educate Cashier/Bookkeepers on resolving problem related to the funds concentration and allocation (banking) system. Assist in rearrangement of staff assignment and resources.
  • Assist the supervisor in more complex bank account reconciliation.
  • Assists other departments in location misapplied payments, and make appropriate corrections to rectify payment problems
  • Analyze payment-processing errors. Refine and implement preventive measures to ensure smooth operation of payment processing.
  • Make recommendation to supervisor on upcoming projects and existing procedures to improve and streamline operations.
  • Review and audit completed work of Cashier/Bookkeepers and Sr. Processing Clerks for quality control purpose.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Education, Experience and/or Skills
  • AA degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience desired.
  • 2-3 years cashier/bookkeeper experience required.
  • Relevant work experience in cashiering and banking system desired.
  • 10-key by touch required.
  • Moderate proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, such as Word and Excel required
  • Advanced communication skills required, both written and oral.
  • Advance reconciliation skill required
