Job Details Responsibilities: Responsible for providing prenatal/preconception, pediatric and cancer genetic counseling including collecting and interpreting family and medical histories and assessing the chance of disease occurrence or recurrence. Also responsible for providing education to patients about genetics, inheritance patterns, natural history of condition(s) in question, genetic testing, and options for management and prevention. Candidate will need to perform patient follow-up including written and oral correspondence with referring physicians. There is opportunity for student supervision/training as well as education of genetic counseling students, residents, nurses, physicians, other healthcare providers and the general public. Qualifications: Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an American Board of Genetic Counseling accredited program is required. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American College of Medical Genetics. Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred. Experience in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Progeny and Computer Based Risk Assessment Models required. Spanish speaking preferred. Salary Range USD $45.80 - USD $52.50 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
