You'll enjoy a positive, progressive, and fun place to work and reap the benefits of being a Altoona Nursing & Rehab Wound \ Infection Control Nurse (RN) Reasons to join us: Competitive compensation Tuition reimbursement assistance Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP, Matching 401K, Life, and Disability We pay for license/certificate renewals, and CEUs Benefits effective 1st day following 30 days of employment Paid Time Off Holiday Pay Same Day Pay Annual Income Increases (at the discretion of the market) Consistent support from the Regional Operations and Nursing Team And so much more Here's what you will do as a Altoona Nursing & Rehab Center Wound / Infection Control Nurse: Responsible for managing the skin program for the facility Essential functions of position: Assess all residents weekly to evaluate the condition of their skin and provide appropriate and required documentation Measure all skin areas weekly and document, initiate, and update all care plan information regarding skin Follow up with physician to report any resident skin problems that arise, and transcribe and follow up with any new orders Perform skin and related treatments on all residents as assigned, according to Physician's orders and in accordance with professional standards Communicate with the physician, residents, family members, charge nurse, other interdisciplinary team members, and facility management regarding resident status as appropriate Represent the Skin Management meeting on a weekly basis and provide needed information to direct and participate appropriately Monitor and adjust equipment use per facility protocol and resident need Keep an ongoing record of all facility equipment Be available for review of new and upcoming devices that can promote healing and reduce risk of infection. Follow skin protocol of facility and F314 Be able to provide weekly skin log, utilize computer programs available, and take responsibility for prevention, healing, and educating of residents, families, and staff in areas of need according to F314 and facility protocol Participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned Perform in Quality improvement activities as assigned Perform additional duties as assigned EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: RN license preferred. (LPN by exception only) plus a minimum of 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Must be in good standing and currently licensed by the State Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates Must be organized and efficient in order to maximize tasks and educate staff where appropriate Must be able to preform all duties required to direct and manage the skin program for the facility Altoona Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Altoona, IA Shift: 8AM-4:30PM M-F / On call weekends If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat: Valid RN license in the State of Iowa Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing JOB CODE: 1001091
