Detox ClinicianCanaan, CT About the Position:The Clinician provides counseling and support to individuals on the detoxification unit. This position provides individual and group counseling, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary treatment team, to ensure each client's experience of detox is as comfortable and safe as possible. The Clinician will work closely with the client, their family, and outside providers on behalf of the client to ensure a smooth transition to the next level of care through an individualized treatment plan. The Clinician will conduct biopsychosocial and collaborate with the team to provide support conducting intakes, as needed.Schedule:Wednesday through Saturday: 8:00 am - 6:30 pmYour Role:Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.Review clients' records from previous treatment providers.Collaborate with clients' emergency contacts, family members, former providers, and referral sources regarding treatment plans.Complete comprehensive clinical utilization reviews on a regular basis and communicate all insurance needs to Utilization Review DepartmentCollaborate in the development of a multidisciplinary and individualized treatment plan, including referrals to APRN, Psychiatrist, Mind Body Spirit Program, Adventure Based Counseling Program and Continuing Care and update as neededModel, explain and encourage pro-social behaviors such as: 12-step meeting etiquette, time management, appropriate language, dress and the importance of building same gender fellowshipsParticipate in daily roundsCommunicate with medical and nursing staff any observed or reported withdrawal symptoms or medical complaints on clients' behalfCollaborate with Mountainside team as a wholeParticipate in weekly individual and group clinical supervisionMaintain communication with clients' family to report progress and wellbeing during detox treatmentCollaborate with client and Continuing Care staff to create an aftercare plan that transitions the client to his/her next phase of recovery, taking into account housing and therapeutic needs Document findings and progress in the clients' medical record maintaining compliance with all regulatory bodies and HIPAA.Administer complete and thorough biopsychosocial assessments to clients within 72 hours of their entering treatment.Assist interdepartmentally, conducting intakes as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in related fieldCertified Addictions Counselor (CAC) or currently working towards licensure Minimum one year experience/knowledge in substance abuse treatmentCompensation:The base rate of pay for this position is $55,000 to $75,000 per year.
