Description

The MRI Technologist performs quality images per physician's orders while providing excellent care to patients. This is a full-time position working out of the Blaine Clinic.

This is a part-time role, every Saturday 8am - 4:30pm out of the Blaine Clinic.

A $1,500.00 sign-on bonus will be offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Essential Functions:

Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians' use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury

Inform and prepare patients for procedures

Maintain patient files, including internal and external films

Prepare, clean, and stock work area with supplies

Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair

Maintain the necessary precautions for exposure to the static magnetic field and non-ionizing radiation/radiofrequencies

Communicate implant safety concerns and expectations to care teams and patients to ensure patient is able to tolerate MRI exam comfortably

Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

Graduate of an ARRT approved program
*

ARRT Certified in Magnetic Resonance or a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in a MRI department required

Essential Requirements:

Ability to:

Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.

Complete job required training.

Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)

Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance

Work in the clinic during business hours

Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required

Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines

Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner

Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations

Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Understand and execute a variety of instructions

Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system

Work independently with minimal supervision

Travel to other work locations, if required
