The ideal candidate will have previous experience in shipbuilding or shipyard operations and possess strong bookkeeping skills to accurately track time and materials expenditures throughout the construction process. *Time & Materials Bookkeeper – New Construction Responsibilities* * Utilize bookkeeping software and systems to accurately record and track time and materials expenditures for the OSV new construction project. * Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and vendors to obtain necessary documentation and invoices related to time and materials expenses. * Maintain detailed records of labor hours, equipment usage, and materials consumption to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting. * Prepare regular reports and updates on time and materials expenditures, including budget vs. actual analysis and variance explanations. * Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts by providing accurate and up-to-date information on time and materials costs. * Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of time and materials records to identify discrepancies or errors and take corrective actions as needed. * Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to address inquiries and resolve issues related to time and materials billing and accounting. *Time & Materials Bookkeeper – New Construction Position Requirements* * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. * Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or financial analyst, with a focus on time and materials tracking in a construction or manufacturing environment. * Familiarity with shipbuilding or shipyard operations and terminology, including knowledge of vessel construction processes and materials. * Proficiency in bookkeeping software and tools, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems as needed. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
