**Job Summary**

CDL Yard Driver is responsible for the positioning of trailers at the shipping docks and shuttling loaded trailers to a desginated location.

**Essential Functions**

- Provides support for trailer movements from manufacturing facility to adjacent warehouses, assists with preparation of trailers for shipping, and monitors the status of loaded trailers.

- Inspect yard tractor for damage or broken equipment.

- Report trailer damage or broken equipment.

- Accurately complete work reports and equipment damage reports as required.

- Drive and maneuver tractors into positon to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.

- Additional duties and/or special projects may be assigned at supervisor's discretion.

- Maintain a professional and cooperative demeanor with customer representatives at all times.

**Education and Experience**

* Have a minimum of 1 year tractor trailer driving experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment

* Hight School/GED

* Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

* Must be self motivated and able to follow directions correctly

* Ability to safely and accurately work under tight time constraints
