Title: Product Owner - Foundry Operations (Nexient Team & Emergency Web Team)

Duration: 12+ months Contract possible extension

Location: Oakland CA (Remote)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner with in-depth knowledge of foundry operations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the development and management of digital solutions for the foundry industry, working closely with both the Nexient Team and an Emergency Web Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital solutions related to foundry operations.
  • Act as a liaison between the business, Nexient Team, and Emergency Web Team, ensuring clear communication of requirements, priorities, and goals.
  • Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and industry trends.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of the foundry industry and emergency response situations.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of products and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Provide guidance and support to the development teams throughout the development lifecycle, addressing any issues or roadblocks that arise.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to foundry operations and emergency response.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in the foundry industry or related manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of foundry operations, including metal casting processes, materials, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Experience working with software development teams in an agile environment, preferably with distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful digital products from concept to launch.
  • Knowledge of emergency response technologies and web-based solutions is a plus.
