Transplant Financial Crd

JOB SUMMARY Responsibilities include providing insurance and benefits verification, seeks and verifies authorizations for transplant related services. Manages work queues and workflow in preparation for ICV, Eval, MRB (listing), as needed. Possesses a strong understanding for commercial, federal, state and third-party payors and efficiently processes requests. Works closely with Transplant Coordinators and relays information in a timely manner. Supports overall Transplant Financial services at the direction of the department leadership team. Assists with preparing Financial Review Profiles for determination of patient financial capability; refer potential Medicaid or County patients to FAS for Medicaid application and approval; monitor all in-house accounts for possible financial issues; Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital Requires a level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through the completion of High School Diploma or GED. Associate Degree in Business preferred and completion of the CPAT exam is a plus. 4 years' experience in Registration and/or Collections and Billing.
