Technical Skills

Must Have

Ability to clearly communicate with key stakeholders including meeting requests, calendar conflicts or prioritization needed, anticipating future needs.

able to make observations, create and trouble shoot laboratory test methods, and record observations in a laboratory notebook.

create and write up experimental designs, conduct experiments, and then summarize results.

Excellent execution enabled by strong attention to detail.

Nice To Have

Ability to purchase in market supplies from Walmart, Kroger, etc with own money and then submit a request for reimbursement.

Job Description

HS Diploma at a minimum and depending on specific role a degree or advance degree may be required. Requires 1 to 3 years of experience.

Requires some general laboratory skills (use of balances, gram and ounce conversion, yield accounting, equipment operation) or special skills taught by Client.

With moderate instruction, must be able to perform routine testing and work with specific instrumentation (i.e. hair combing tests, particle size analysis, etc.).

Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested. Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and reports.

Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results. Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results.

Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample.

Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.

Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.

Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field. May require substantial independent judgment.
