The Housekeeping crew is comprised of many veterans and a few new additions. It is always rewarding to see new staff, often with no experience or knowledge of the department, join our team and grow into a happy, dependable employee." - Sarah - EVS ManagerJOB SUMMARY:Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in an assigned area as specified by a work schedule. This will be accomplished by utilization of a seven-step cleaning procedure. Housekeeper has daily direct contact with patients, and must have a good diplomacy with patients, visitors, and hospital staff. HOURS: 72 Hours Every Two Weeks. EVENING Shifts will be during the week, Monday-Friday from 3pm - 11:30pm. Weekends and Holidays scheduling will be Every Other weekend and the hours will flip (only on the weekends) to the day shift, 7a-3:30p.WAGES: Hourly rate of pay starts at $15.38/hr. but may climb depending on experience.EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school preferred; must be able to read and write English. Must have basic math knowledge and able to follow instructions. Knowledgeable about housekeeping procedures/techniques. Will be trained on the job.EXPERIENCE:Previous experience helpful but not required.This is a Union position, and you will be required to join the AFSCME 3296 Union within 30 days from start.CentraCare has made a commitment to diversity in its workforce.
