Summary

Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or in a related technical field which will be considered as two (2) years of experience is desired.
  • NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
  • Should have one of the following certifications or be willing to obtain within six (6) months of start: Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) Data Engineer, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate.
  • Experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table, et cetera.
  • Demonstrated experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, and/or Big Table.
  • Demonstrated experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig.
  • Demonstrated work experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
  • Active DoD TS//SCI Security Clearance with poly required.
Cloud Software Engineer, Jr.
  • Zero (0) years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Two (2) years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
  • One (1) year of experience developing software with high-level languages such as Java, C, C++, et cetera.
Desired:
  • Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
  • Demonstrated experience with Big-Data Cloud Scalability (e.g. Amazon, Google, and/or Facebook)
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing web applications with JavaScript
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.
  • Demonstrated experience with compute cluster monitoring tools (e.g. Hobbit, Ganglia)
  • Demonstrated experience with Accumulo internals, to include configuring, tuning, and testing Accumulo in many configurations (>200 node clusters).
Cloud Software Engineer, Mid
  • Five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Four(4) years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++.
  • Demonstrated work experience with Serialization such as JSON and/or BSON.
  • Demonstrated work experience developing Restful services.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems.
