Cedar Park Med is hiring for Registered Nurses.Requirements:Minimum of one (1) year direct experience in a Psychiatric Behavioral Health treatment setting OR in an Acute Care setting.Must have and maintain a license as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.Be able to provide evidence, on an annual basis, of a current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) reading orevaluation if known PPD reactor for employees.Have current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) and shallsubmit evidence of certification as part of the employee placement package.Be familiar with Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE).Responsibilities:Conduct routine assessments as ordered by the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) and within the RN scope of practice.Administer medications, as ordered by the treating LIP including, but not limited to: subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, oral, transcutaneous, rectal, intravenous, and topical forms.Assess individuals for potential reactions to medications and escalate concerns to the next level care Provider.Provide Nursing Assessment on admission. This includes, but is not limited to: the initial nursing assessment, health history, risk assessment and routine laboratory studies as indicated for directed and per facility policy.Provide Health Education on a One-to-One (Nurse to Individual) basis.Evaluate and document the effectiveness of the Nursing Care Plan.Participate in/lead individual treatment groups where determined applicable by the facility.Interface with community based mental health providers, hospitals, and other agencies to promote continuation of an individual's care, including transfer, bed information, and acceptance/approval for admission to the facility.
