Position Summary: Join our team as a Float Pool Registered Nurse and provide direct nursing care to assigned patients across various clinical specialties including PCU, ICU, and ED. Help create a positive work environment and promote quality patient care while adhering to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients
  • Work in collaboration with the healthcare team and implement individualized care plans
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities for new personnel
  • Institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients
  • Ensure that patient medical records contain necessary information
  • Administer medication through the Seven Rights, documenting and communicating clinical findings
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs
  • Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of nationally accredited nursing program
  • 1 year directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN license in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 3 years directly related experience or bilingual proficiency
  • Nationally Certified in area of specialty
  • PALS, TNCC, and/or ENPC certification

Physical Conditions: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

Working Conditions: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials require PPE.
