Job Description

SUMMARY:

Using highly developed stcokroom skills and with a minimum of supervision, maintains stockroom and ensures the proper and timely disbursement of stored materials and parts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1

Maintains prescribed stock levels of a variety of materials and components to be used by production departments and laboratories.

Receives, stores and issues materials and components following prescribed procedures.

Receives, materials/components and assigns proper stock identification to each and places material/components on stock shelves.

4

Maintains accurate inventory records and proper paper work for accountability of stores.

5

With a minimum of direction, works from pick lists, pink sheetes, written and verbal instructions and the cycle count procedure.

Notifies proper authority to reorder when minimum inventory levels are reached. Alters storage locations according to changing conditions.

7

May drive the company van to pick up and deliver materials and equipment.

8

Capable of performing all the duties of the lower grade stcok clerks.

May perform work in other factory work cells and/or work arears as assigned and performs other related duties as directed.

Instructs and leads less experienced stock clerks in the correct procedures and may recommend to the supervisor improved stcokroom techniques.

Follows and supports the 6S program by maintaining a clean work area and observes all Lytron safety rules.
