Job Details Title: Data QA Engineer (12+ month contract) Salary: $2500-3500 USD monthly Requirements: Automating Web Applications Testing (Selenium, PHP/Javascript, WordPress, CI/CD) Location: 100% Remote Our client, a personal finance startup, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their team. In this position, you will play a key role in the development and oversight of durable test automation scripts using PHP/Javascript. The primary objective is to streamline manual testing processes effectively. Duties will include thorough review of requirements, offering insights on potential business flows, validating user stories, and promptly identifying and reporting any encountered bugs. Additionally, responsibilities will extend to the creation and upkeep of automated regression test suites. This will demand a blend of creativity and discernment to ensure extensive coverage that aligns with stakeholder objectives. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Develop and manage robust test automation scripts using PHP/Javascript to streamline manual testing processes effectively. Review requirements meticulously, provide insights on potential business flows, validate user stories, and promptly report encountered bugs. Create and maintain automated regression test suites, ensuring comprehensive coverage aligning with stakeholder goals. Actively engage with cross-functional teams to enhance Agile processes continually. Ensure deliverables consistently meet quality standards within specified timelines, demonstrating operational and business understanding. How You'll Make an Impact: Contribute to the development and management of robust test automation scripts using PHP/Javascript, aimed at streamlining manual testing processes effectively. Meticulously review requirements, provide insights on potential business flows, validate user stories, and promptly report encountered bugs. Create and maintain automated regression test suites, ensuring comprehensive coverage aligning with stakeholder goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continually enhance Agile processes. Adapt to support team members and handle fluctuations in workload while striving to achieve an average of 20 points per sprint in delivering production-ready solutions. Requirements 5+ Years of QA Experience: Solid background in quality assurance with at least 5 years of experience. Automation Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience automating web applications, ideally using tools like Selenium with BDD framework. CI/CD and Cloud Services: Thorough understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with cloud services, ensuring familiarity with agile development and deployment practices. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues, debug code, and devise creative solutions, essential for maintaining the functionality and performance of WordPress applications. Effective Communication: Clear and effective communication skills vital for collaborating with developers, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring certification requirements are met and issues are properly addressed.
