One of our clients in the region has engaged us to help them recruit a Cytotechnologist to join their growing team. You'll play a vital role in diagnosing diseases at the cellular level and making a real difference in the lives of patients.

Position Overview: We seek a highly skilled and motivated Cytotechnologist to join our client's laboratory team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cytology, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering accurate and timely results. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform microscopic examination of cellular samples, fluid specimens, and fine needle aspirations to detect abnormalities or signs of disease.

Analyze and interpret cellular morphology, identifying abnormal cells or indicators of cancerous or pre-cancerous conditions.

Maintain accurate records of findings, documenting results in laboratory information systems and preparing detailed reports for pathologists.

Adhere to established protocols and quality control standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.

Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to review challenging cases and provide additional insights or recommendations.

Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advances in cytology techniques and technology.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field from an accredited institution.

Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification.

Minimum of one year of experience working as a Cytotechnologist in a clinical laboratory setting.

Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including microscopes and imaging systems.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to accurately interpret complex cellular samples.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and healthcare providers.

Detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
