Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic

We are currently seeking a full-time Aircraft Sheet Metal / Structural Technician. The selected applicant must have the ability to evaluate structural damage and determine the proper resolution for various sheet metal tasks.Benefits:MedicalDentalLife InsuranceLong-Term and Short-Term Disability401k matchingJob Responsibilities:Point person for the evaluation of aircraft structural damage for various sheet metal tasksKnowledge and ability to read and interpret aircraft manualsRepair/replace aircraft structural components according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals, and safety proceduresPerform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices Remove existing rivets from aircraft structureWork with and around a variety of chemicals and follow all OSHA standards in regards to PPE Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materialsJob Requirements:Required to have the ability to measure and evaluate structural aircraft damageKnowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to layout, fabricate, repair and assemble sheet metal.Ability to apply and interpret blueprints in accordance with specified procedures and techniques.Ability to operate shop tooling utilized during repair. Tooling includes but is not limited to press brakes, shears, rollers, grinders, drills, pneumatic squeezes, rivet guns and any other tools necessary to complete structural repairs.Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license strongly preferredPrevious experience working with sheet metalMinimum of 2 years of experience requiredMake decisions regarding how to make repairs and know what repairs can and can't be done Understand and apply FAA standardsEffectively document job completion paperwork.
