Job Description

This position will serve as the athletic trainer for teams as assigned. Work as part of the Sports Medicine team to facilitate the care of student-athletes. Evaluation of illnesses, injuries, and course of action. Assist in coordinating appropriate medical personnel coverage and travel with assigned teams for away competition. Serve as a liaison for the medical care and well-being between student-athletes, coaches, physicians, healthcare providers, and sports medicine staff. Update and maintain accurate medical records for individual student-athletes including medical history, physical exam forms, daily injury reports, and progress notes. Responsible for the operation and implementation of preseason physicals.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Injury Treatment and Evaluation
  • Travel with team
  • Practice and game coverage
  • Post treatment/ Rehab/ Doctor appointments
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Master's degree
  • BOC certified
  • Indiana license or ability to obtain
  • CPR/First aide
  • Prior athletic training at the collegiate level helpful
