Lab/Department Specific functions and requirements:

Under the supervision of Dr. Fabrisia Ambrosio, the candidate should have experience in conducting literature research, ideally as a medical librarian. The applicant should have expertise in comprehensive literature searches, systematic reviews, data management, and data analysis. Strong skills are required in statistics, data analysis, and creating tables/figures/graphs. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written English communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and present data.
  • Maintains records and databases.
  • Uses software programs to generate graphs and reports.
  • Prepares reports of completed projects for: publication in technical journals, presentations at professional meetings/conferences, and for use in further applied or theoretical research activities.
  • Disseminates findings through peer-reviewed publications, presentations at scientific and community meetings, internal and external seminars, and other venues.
  • Performs project management and other administrative support duties as required.
  • Collaborates with lab members to expand the lab's research portfolio.
  • Participates in the preparation of grants for submission to federal and private agencies with the lab director.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Education/Degree: Bachelor's degree and coursework (training) in library information required.

Required Experience:
  • Experience as a medical librarian.
  • Background in literature searches and data management.
  • Peer reviewed publications.
  • Strong expertise in data collection, analysis, and written/graphic presentation.
  • Knowledge of research protocols.
