A mid-sized company in Albany County is seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Driver to join their team and assist with hauling heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and the ability to safely operate and transport heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate commercial vehicles to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition
• Secure heavy equipment properly for transportation and follow all safety protocols
• Maintain accurate records of pick-up and delivery times, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Communicate with dispatch and follow designated routes and schedules
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking oil and tire pressure
• Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to management
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial driver, preferably hauling heavy equipment
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including flatbeds, lowboys, and trailers
• Experience with securing heavy equipment for transportation
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• High school diploma or equivalent

This is a full-time position. The work schedule may vary depending on job assignments and may include weekends and limited overnight trips. The job may require physical labor, such as loading and unloading heavy equipment, and working in various weather conditions.
