Houston MRI & Diagnostic Imaging is currently seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our Sugar Land team. Houston MRI & Diagnostic Imaging has been providing excellent diagnostic imaging tests since 1997. Providing high quality exams in a comfortable and affordable Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility is our focus. We are owned and operated by physicians that specialize in diagnostic imaging. Job Summary Responsible for performing Ultrasound (Sonography) procedures. Ensuring professional interaction and communication with the patient /family, center staff, referring physicians/staff and radiologists. This position will report to our Sugar Land Center, located at 15555 Creek Bend Dr. Ste 300 Sugar Land TX 77478. Essential Job Function Perform ULTRASOUND procedures as directed ensuring quality images and the appropriate care, safety, and comfort of the patient. Verify

physician orders and ensure correct procedures are being performed. Verify procedures for interpretation by radiologist in the PACS. Ensure proper handling of STAT exams. Practice infectious control procedures and ensure overall safety practices at all times. Oversee maintenance and provide troubleshooting of ULTRASOUND equipment; ensure use of equipment is consistent with manufacturer’s or service instructions. Track, order and maintain ULTRASOUND related medical supplies as needed or directed. Stock and maintain linens properly. Open/close clinics including the

activation/deactivation

of alarms. Educational and Skills Requirements Graduation from an approved school of Ultrasound Technology, either college or hospital affiliate. ULTRASOUND Registry with ARRT (or equivalent) or enrolled in an approved ULTRASOUND curriculum. Current CPR certification. High School graduate: BS degree preferred. Knowledge of anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, out-patient imaging procedures. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in the use of office computer systems directly related to the job function.

Status:

Full Time, Hourly with benefits Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8 hours shifts, Some Saturdays Pay Range:

$28 -$40 per hour
