Advantage Dealer Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing automotive group in the Chicagoland area. We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining our network infrastructure and ensuring seamless technology operations across our dealership locations.

Job Description:

As an IT Technician at Advantage Dealer Group, you will work closely with our IT Director to support and maintain our network infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include traveling onsite to our locations for troubleshooting and installation of network computers and equipment.  When you are not on location, you will spend time in the office assisting with Help Desk Requests. This role offers a dynamic work environment and a chance to make a significant impact on our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide over the phone and in-person support to end-users hardware and software including (but not limited to): Windows desktop and laptop computers, printers, networking hardware, IP-based phones, dealership specific hardware.
  • Actively participate in new system implementations, including (but not limited to): new equipment setups/teardowns, low-voltage (WAN/LAN network, A/V, etc.) cabling in office and production settings, software migrations, upgrades and rollouts of new technologies with emphasis on all hands-on projects involving physical network infrastructure.
  • Assist end users with technology-related questions and issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director to implement and maintain technology solutions that meet the organization's needs.
  • Ensure security and compliance of the network infrastructure.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in IT to contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology environment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in technology related field OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to test, repair, and install network cabling.
  • Knowledge of: Windows 10/11, Server 2022, WAN/LAN, Microsoft Office 365
  • Understanding of Unifi and Meraki networking equipment a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to travel within the Chicagoland area (75% of the time).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
