Intermountain ESD This posting is for an on-call substitute receptionist for the IMESD. This posting will create a pool of candidates to be on our sublist to fill in as receptionist in our IMESD main building located in Pendleton and our satellite office in La Grande.

SUMMARY:
Serve as administrative assistant to the Director of Student Success and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, and as the Receptionist and Building Coordinator at the IMESD LaGrande building. Possess the stamina and work ethic to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working in an educational environment and/or customer service preferred

  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Customer service driven
RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Function in a highly professional manner and maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
  2. Professionally greet visitors, connecting them to the appropriate person/location, and administer and direct all incoming calls
  3. Professionally cope with angry/upset individuals that call or visit the LaGrande Building.
  4. Maintain building security by monitoring visitor access, issue visitor guest passes when required, and maintain security awareness.
  • Maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to data, students, parents, staff or IMESD patrons
  • Fulfill duties associated with Mandatory Reporting for suspected child abuse or neglect.
  • Have regular and punctual attendance at work and work activities, punctual in meeting deadlines, attending meetings, following schedules, respond to management directions and solicits feedback to improve performance
  • Develop job skills necessary to meet changes in the position
  • May be required to travel to and from school locations in the IMESD service area and may be required to travel on overnight assignments
