Adelphi is seeking Registered Nurses to provide vaccination services for facilities in Rockland County, NY. The Registered Nurses will be responsible for the evaluation of patients and the admission of vaccines to children and adults.

Requirements:

  • NY license
  • Minimum of one year work experience post licensure
  • Experience in immunization
  • Infection Control Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • HIPAA Certificate
Responsibilities:
  • Administer vaccinations and educate patients on vaccines.
  • Evaluate patients for their suitability and medical contraindications.
  • Monitor vaccinated patients by recognizing and managing any physical or emotional reactions due to the administered vaccines.
  • Issue completed COVID-19 vaccination certificates to the COVID-19 vaccine recipients.
  • Administer immunization record audits at day cares / preschools / head starts, schools and colleges and follow up audits after 14 days if a school or child has insufficient vaccinations / records.
  • Assist in educating daycare and school RNs on their rights and duties in warranting ample immunization of the children / students.
  • Assist in formulating reports of audits and follow ups for the audit process.
