DescriptionJOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services for patients of The Queen's Medical Center (QMC) through direct patient care and teaching and supervision of residents from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine and assigned students from other programs. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides general gastroenterology (GI) services including endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, esophageal manometry, pH testing, hemorrhoid energy therapy to patients of Queen's Medical Center (QMC) West OahuProvides gastroenterology services for outpatients in the QMC West Oahu GI Office, Same-Day Surgery Endoscopy Center, and GI Endoscopy, (60%+ endoscopy)Provides gastroenterology on-call inpatient coverage for the QMC West Oahu according to current protocol, anticipated 1:6 weeks6 GI physicians supported by 2 clinic APRN, 2 dedicated GI clinic nurses, 5 medical assistants, 9 GI endoscopy nurses, 4 GI techsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.Board Certified or Board Qualified in Gastroenterology. If board qualified, must obtain board certification within two (2) years of entrance into position.Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii.Qualified for an appointment on the faculty of the University of Hawaii John A.
