Coordinate the preparation of reports and written documentation as required by the department, company and State and Federal agencies. Maintain proper, detailed and accurate dental records. 2. Travels between clinics to work, as needed. Willingness to be on-call, as scheduled, by the Dental Director/ Assistant Dental Director. 3. Willingness to assist Clinic Manager/Dental Manager in supervising the dental staff and assuring that clinic is compliant with State and Federal guidelines. Meet productivity goals, as set by the Arkansas Children’s Hospital organization and assist the Clinic Manager and dental staff to accomplish that goal. 4. Maintain a professional demeanor with patients, staff and administration. Supervise Dental Assistants with whom he/she works. 5. Perform other tasks, as directed by the Dental Director/ Assistant Dental Director, as needed to meet clinic or organization goals 6. Examine, diagnose and treat dental conditions to provide optimum care to patients. 7. Consult and educate the patient/parent/guardian and advise them of dental status and required treatment, the risks, benefits and alternatives of each option. 8. Consulting with patients and analyzing patient data to determine patient needs and treatment goals. Collaborating with other specialists, such as restorative dentists and orthodontists, to plan treatments. 9. Recording patient care by maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results. 10. Administer anesthetics to limit the amount of pain experienced by patient during procedure. Performing surgical procedures to extract impacted or damaged teeth, place dental implants, and remove tumors and other abnormal growths of the oral and/or facial regions. Performing minor cosmetic procedures, such as chin and cheekbone enhancements. Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care. 11. Conduct research on defects, diseases, and disorders affecting the oral and/or facial regions. 12. Prepares and maintains charts, treatment plans and completes required reports. Understand the organization’s commitment to provide high quality patient care and promote a patient-centered environment. 13. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, receiving current literature, and attending in-service meetings and workshops. 14. Other Duties as assigned.
