Payroll Clerk Position Overview: As a Payroll Clerk with our client, you will be responsible for providing essential support in payroll processing and administration. You will assist in various payroll tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Clerk:

1. Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees.
2. Input payroll data accurately and efficiently into the payroll system.
3. Calculate wages, deductions, and overtime accurately.
4. Prepare and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits.
5. Maintain payroll records and files in compliance with company policies and regulations.
6. Respond to payroll inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
7. Assist with payroll reporting and audits as needed.

Qualifications of the Payroll Clerk:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting or related field is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a payroll clerk or similar role is preferred.
3. Knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices.
4. Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
