ASM Global This position as a runner is to support our concessions stand employees and the rest of our staff. You’ll assist with opening and closing procedures and perform various behind-the-stands tasks, such as restocking the concessions stands and storage areas. Ultimately, you’ll help ensure that our guests get an excellent customer service and enjoy their time at our venue by helping concession workers to stock, open, and close concessions stands for events and shows. They keep the bar stocked with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, nonalcoholic beverages, cups, napkins, candies, ice cubes and other products needed throughout their shift. Note that, to be considered for this role, you should be legally authorized to work in a bar where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed. You should also be available to work fluctuating schedule shifts, including evenings and weekends. Interest in the hospitality industry; previous entry-level experience in a bar or restaurant is not mandatory, but will be considered a plus . To be successful, a runner needs to be organized and systematic, while being adaptable enough to anticipate any obstacles that get thrown their way during each and every shift. Communication is key, and you must be a team player willing to support coworkers. Use of walkie talkies and appropriate transmissions will be required. Applicants must exhibit the ability to work under pressure in a loud, high traffic, fast-paced environment. This is a physical job and will require you to move throughout multiple levels of the building with product. Must be willing to assist in cleaning concessions stands and storage facilities throughout the shift along with any other task that is assigned by the manager or supervisor on duty in the food and beverage department. Basic knowledge of menu items to ensure concessions workers have the items they need at a moment's notice . In compliance with food and beverage standards runners must understand how to appropriately dispense beverages to customers, store all inventory, and help track the expiration dates and disposal of products. Physical ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs. Must have reliable transportation to both locations of work. Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends.
