Job Summary:

  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients within the nursing process
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
  • Use independent judgment to assign nurses and technicians to patients
  • Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
  • Active participation in nursing strategic initiatives
  • Maintain a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
  • Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching self-care skills
  • Maintain cooperative relationships among healthcare teams

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification w/in 1 year
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification w/in 6 months
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers w/in 30 days
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and frequently exert force
