Job Summary

The Interventional Recovery Room RN will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the recovery room department. This includes assisting with biopsy, drainage procedures, and special procedures as well as recognizing physical and emotional changes in patients' conditions.

  • Displaying thorough knowledge of nursing and departmental protocols
  • Consistently providing appropriate charting and other documentation
  • Consistently demonstrating proper safety and radiation safety practices for self and others
  • Demonstrating appropriate use of equipment
  • Maintaining flow of Interventional Recovery Unit
  • Assisting other modalities with nursing patient care issues
  • Demonstrating competency working with all age groups
  • Demonstrating competency using the Radiographic Information System
  • Demonstrating competency in Departmental communication (telephone, papers, and intercom)
  • Maintaining clean and well-stocked work area
  • Meeting and exceeding the expectations of patients and all other customers we serve
  • Actively assisting and supporting departmental activities to ensure that operational and salary expenses are equal to or less than approved budget
  • Understands the principles and concepts of performance improvement and seeks to improve job skills

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in acute care with at least one year in critical care, ER, or PACU
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required
  • Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
