As a Mortgage Lending Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the mortgage lending activities within the organization. This role involves leading a team of mortgage professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving the achievement of lending targets. The Mortgage Lending Manager plays a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to grow the mortgage lending portfolio while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of mortgage lending professionals, including Loan Officers and Mortgage Processors.

Provide guidance and training to ensure team members are well-equipped to meet lending goals and deliver exceptional customer service.

Portfolio Management:

Oversee the management and growth of the mortgage lending portfolio.

Develop and implement strategies to increase loan origination, manage delinquencies, and optimize the overall performance of the mortgage portfolio.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations governing mortgage lending.

Implement and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate lending risks and maintain a high level of regulatory compliance.

Business Development:

Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth within the mortgage lending market.

Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry partners to expand the organization's presence in the market.

Customer Service Excellence:

Foster a customer-centric culture within the mortgage lending team, emphasizing responsiveness, transparency, and professionalism.

Address and resolve escalated customer issues, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the loan process.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on mortgage lending performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage lending, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Thorough knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, underwriting guidelines, and industry best practices.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute business plans.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Proficiency in mortgage lending software and technology.
