Job Description Job Purpose
To take care of the day to day bulk seed handling needs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Load and unload bulk seed trucks.
- Scale trucks in and out
- Follow all truck scaling procedure
- Meet and direct drivers as to where they need to go.
- Setting up and use of seed handling equipment. ie conveyor, seed vac, auger, and tractors
- Perform daily walk around inspections before using equipment
- Follow all safety rules and regulations for each specific equipment
- Fill out work orders on maintenance or repair needs
- Moving of bulk seed
- Make sure trailers are put away and grain is covered
- Insure bulk seed available for mix floor use
- Clean out machines, legs, bins, and other equipment for changing products.
- All other duties as assigned
Some work will be in a warehouse in a non-climate controlled warehouse and outdoors in all weather conditions. Work will be done in a dusty environment at times
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen or authorized worker
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to work with all levels of staff
- Attention to detail
- Ability and desire to learn new skills
- Self Starter who takes initiative
- Ability to climb Ladders and Scaffolding
- Able to Lift 50lbs
