Vital Link is looking to add two inventory types of roles to their shipping and receiving department. VLI is located in Sealy, Texas.

**Duties**

Perform all duties assigned by the Inventory Control Supervisor. This includes performing inventory transactions, maintaining inventory records, and performing audits of inventory transactions and goods.

Execute transactions in a timely and accurate manner in the company computer system to transfer goods into and out of inventory. This includes the transfer of raw materials and purchased parts into inventory, transfer of purchased parts from inventory to project and/or shop jobs, the transfer of finished fabricated goods from shop jobs to inventory, and the transfer of finished goods from inventory to project and/or shop jobs.

Review project Bill(s) of Material upon initial release, identify goods available to be pulled from inventory and communicate that to the Shipping and Receiving Manager, informing the Purchasing Manager to proceed to purchase the balance of the goods.

Accurately create and maintain inventory records and documentation both in paper and electronic format.

Assist with reconciliation of discrepancies between recorded and physical inventory as directed by the Inventory Control Supervisor.

Participate in the year end inventory and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory against recorded inventory. Assist with audits of all projects and shop jobs on a regular basis against the shipped Bill of Materials to ensure that they have been properly charged with goods shipped from inventory against the project or shop job.

Ensure that all units of measure are correctly reflected in the inventory record, and that transfers to / from inventory are checked for unit of measure issues.

For steel raw materials, coordinate with the Production Control Manager for the release of materials to the Production Department. The Inventory Clerk shall be responsible for the transfer of finished fabricated products from shop jobs to inventory.

Ensure that all inventory parts are properly identified by the appropriate tags indicating part number and other required information.
