Childcare Coordinator

Description:
10 hours per week (5 hrs. in office per week on average) Oversee all aspects of the Childcare Program for children age 6 weeks to 5th grade as requested for ministry events. Vision of Quest Childcare: The safety of children in the care of Quest Church is THE top priority and we desire for families to feel confident entrusting their child to us. Children in our care should experience the love that Jesus has for them through the focused, personal interactions with our staff and workers. Responsibilities: Recruit caring & capable adult workers to provide childcare for ministry needs as requested (events vary from weekday/weekend and from morning, afternoon, or evenings). Ensure that childcare workers have up-to-date background checks and are adequately trained. Revise Childcare Policies & Procedures as needed. Schedule all workers according to Quest Church systems (Planning Center). Equip workers to embrace the physical needs of children while providing interactive play. Aquire necessary supplies (snacks, activities, crafts) to be utilized for childcare events. Provide organization & structure to host childcare to include rosters, schedules, approved movies/shows/technology, etc.. Be available to step in and cover for a worker that is unable to meet their commitment to work (or secure a screened substitute worker). Provide support to KidsQuest staff as requested and in collaborative efforts. Safety: Uphold the safety policies of KidsQuest/Quest Church and provide ongoing supervision and training to the workers. Ensure workers are appropriately trained in responding to emergency situations as well as minor incidents. Instruct workers on preventative and responsive correction in a loving manner following specified guidelines.
Qualifications:
Requirements: Be a Christ follower that is taking active steps to grow in their faith. Represent Quest Churchs staff/leadership values. Experience in the physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs/stages of young children. Ability to lead groups of adults in a professional manner and work well in a team setting. Ability to meet the physical needs of children in the care of Quest Church.
