About the Job:
  • The EEG Technician is a qualified member of the health team with appropriate training and skills.
  • The technician is to provide EEG services by the physician's orders and the specific needs of the patient
  • The technician will be responsible for learning the 10/20 system of measurement.
  • Be responsible for the verification of orders for the appropriate testing needs.
  • May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Required to follow infection control guidelines.
  • Monitor respirations and EKG during testing. Able to explain procedures and answer patient's questions.
  • The position will include being cross-trained as an EKG technician and a patient care technician.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent (Diploma or transcripts required upon hire)
  • BLS Required (AHA or Red Cross)
  • Knowledge of general anatomy and physiology
  • Medical terminology and general computer skills
  • 1-year experience in the medical field (Preferred)
