Dietary Aide

Prepare foods assigned by the Cook, using daily menus; and in accordance with residents' dietary restrictions/therapeutic diets as prescribed by physician. Assist in preparing foods for special events. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment. Store food properly for infection control. Participate in serving food. Bus tables during and after meals. Reset tables for the next meal. Prepare beverages before meals. Clean equipment, appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer and sinks according to schedule. Clean/sweep dining area after each meal. Stack, soak, and run dish machine. Soak and clean pots and pans. Put away clean dishes, pots and pans. Carry out other duties as assigned from the supervisor. Working Behaviors: Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures. Report on the job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs. Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families and visitors. Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel. Standards: Be able to perform duties with an upbeat, pleasant personality. Residents always come first, and their needs will be met unless there is a conflict with the needs of others or the organization as a whole. Employees will not work under the influence of mood-altering or illegal drugs or alcohol. Neat appearance, adherence to the dress code and good personal hygiene are expected. Be able and willing to work outside of your job description.
