NMILC is seeking an undergraduate intern 10 hours per week for the Fall 2024 semester to support our Survivor of Crime program.

The Context:

NMILC is a social justice organization whose mission is to advance equity and justice by empowering low-income immigrant communities through collaborative legal services, advocacy, and education. Each year we provide direct legal representation and assistance in immigration matter to thousands of immigrant and advocate for laws and policies that respect the rights of immigrants. NMILC's model focuses on establishing relationships with local, state and national organizations and governmental institutions to expand access to legal services to historically marginalized immigrant communities.

Undergraduate interns will assist with survivor of crime cases before the Immigration Court and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (UCSIS) Specific duties and responsibilities may vary depending on case needs at time of internship. Generally intern responsibilities may include: communication with clients, documentation gathering and case preparation. Spanish fluency is required.

The hourly rate will be $18.
