Overview:M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at the Maplewood Imaging Center located in Maplewood, MN.Position details:1.0 FTE - (80 hours worked per 2 weeks)Typical schedule is 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week , 10:00AM-8:30PM and one weekend a monthBenefit eligibleWe are looking for a CT Technologist who enjoys working in a fast paced clinic to come join our teamResponsibilities/Job Description:Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomesPerforms excellent patient carePerforms examinationsIdentifies relevant data from images accuratelyUses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional.Participates in crafting a culture of patient safety.Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness.Verify patient identification and documentation.Connect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam.Achieves quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing proceduresEnsures patient data integrityAdheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures.Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes.Follows infection control guidelinesServes as a resource for other healthcare team members.Responds appropriately to emergent situations.Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving.Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances.Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution.Completed all require continuing education to uphold their imaging licensure.Participates as an active team memberParticipates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives.Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position.Cleans and maintains room and suppliesProvides coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care and c ontributes to a positive work environment.Accurately operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelinesIdentifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working accurately.Maintains a high level of proficiencyAccepts new technology as its introduced into the facility and p articipates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations.Qualifications:Required:Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)Basic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before hire datePreferred:1 or years of experience in a related roleAdditional certifications in Imaging#J-18808-Ljbffr
