Java Developer

Position Overview

We're searching for a skilled Java EE Developer to join our team in Salt Lake City. In this role, you'll contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our suite of internally crafted Java applications. Our aim is to provide tailored, enterprise-level web applications that align with our specific requirements at a minimal cost and maximum return on investment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Internet/Intranet applications, including analysis, object-oriented design, coding, testing, documentation, and maintenance.
• Design databases and conduct system testing.
• Assist in constructing in-house products and develop deployment procedures for configuring software across various environments.
• Stay updated on both in-house and third-party products.
• Ensure compliance with functional and non-functional usability requirements.
• Provide occasional after-hours support for code deployments, changes, and general assistance.
• Contribute design considerations for new products or architectural changes.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Identify interdependencies and connections to drive value creation across the business and enterprise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of Java EE experience encompassing development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Java EE architecture, components, and web application platforms like Tomcat/JBoss EAP Application Server, WebSphere, or equivalent.
• Advanced expertise in Spring framework, Web UI technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP), SQL/NoSQL databases, JPA/Hibernate, and ReactJS.
• Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
• Experience with Web Services development and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Extensive knowledge of data modeling concepts and integrated application development methodologies.
• Advanced debugging, problem-solving, and testing skills.
• Familiarity with ADO and Git.
• Financial or Banking services experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, judgment, and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
