Position Information Position Title Cashier Bookstore FLSA Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Department Bookstore Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus Hourly Rate 10.12 Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thu 7:30-5:30 Fri 7:30-11:30, Other - 40 work hours plus some overtime is required, this includes weekends. Summary of Position This job position performs bookstore merchandise sales. The incumbent often helps customers and cashiers in selecting appropriate books for corresponding classes. Minimum Required Education High School Diploma or GED . Associates Degree preferred. Minimum Required Experience One year working as a cashier in retail required; prefer cashier experience at an education institution or 30 credits towards a degree and 6 months cashier experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Ability to interact effectively with other college employees and the general public. · Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. · Ability to balance cash drawer and daily transaction reports. · Ability to provide good customer service to all customers. · Ability to adapt easily and multi-task.
