Job Summary:

The Yard Jockey Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers between yard and warehouse dock doors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate mule to move cargo trailer
  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of mule
  • Ability to read and interpret operating and procedural manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Able to receive, understand, and execute instructions via radio to accommodate logistical needs
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) class A with clean record
  • 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience
  • Clean MVR
  • Ability to meet all state and Federal DOT regulations
  • Must be able to follow all company guidelines
  • Must pass all drug/alcohol screenings
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, two-wheel hand truck
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision in a team environment
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Nearly all work is performed outdoors; must be able to perform duties in all weather conditions
  • Use repetitive motions, using upper and lower extremities, mount and dismount equipment
  • The position may require the driver to sit for prolonged periods of time while operating the mule
