Description
The Shipping Clerk will prepares items for shipments, domestically and internationally, build crates for large unplanned shipments, load and unload shipments with forklift, pull parts for production. Daily paperwork and record-keeping on all outbound shipments will also be required. Must be willing to learn ERP system.

Key Responsibilities
* Knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, rates & methods. Knowledge of World Ship (UPS) Fedex, DHL. Intermediate PC Skills; Outlook, Word and Excel.

* Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on
cartons, using stenciling equipment.

* Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts
items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.

* Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

* Completes Bill of Lading & Shipper Letter of Intent for shipments

* Ability to be proactive and troubleshoot issues which do arise.

* Operate fork-lift truck or use hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from
Shipping-and-receiving to freight trucks. Will have to go through company training program.

* Ambitious, self motivated, dependable, responsible and a team player.

*High School Diploma or equivalent

* Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and equipment, measurement devices, shop mathematics, basic materials and processes used in shipping / manufacturing.

* Operate table saw, circular saw, drills, measuring devices, other hand tools.

Physical Requirements
Must possess the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Maneuver, lift and pack large/long bulky, potentially heavy products. Must be able to lift, stand, squat and or pull.
