**Position Summary**

ColonialWebb is seeking an energetic and driven Plumbing Apprentice to join our team in the Charlottesville area. Under the guidance of experienced Plumbing Mechanics, you will learn how to assemble, install, and repair complex commercial plumbing systems. In addition to on-the-job training, you will have an opportunity to apply for an apprenticeship and attend trade school to obtain your plumbing journeyman's license.

**What you will do:**

* Learn how to assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems for commercial projects

* Typical projects include construction, change-outs, retrofits, and installation of commercial plumbing and hydronic systems

**What we are looking for:**

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Some knowledge of the plumbing industry coupled with a willingness and desire to learn

* Completion of (or currently completing) plumbing trade school (preferred, but not required)

* Some knowledge or International Plumbing Code (IPC)

* Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations

* Understanding of basic construction/shop math

* Ability to work easily and skillfully with hands

* Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy

* Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with coworkers and other tradespeople

* Maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment
