Callaway Resort & Gardens is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Beach Rental Attendant to create safe and memorable experiences for our guests and visitors. As a Beach Rental Attendant, you will be responsible for setting up daily beach rentals, monitoring mini golf course and golf rental equipment, cash handling, retail sales, and rentals of beach chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, paddleboards, kayaks, pedal boats, and Aqua Island Park.

Responsibilities:

  • Train on daily operation duties, including opening and closing rental procedures, cash handling, and ticketing/point of sale systems
  • Prepare all daily resort beach chair and cabana rentals and assign daily reservations based on reports
  • Oversee available inventory left to rent throughout the day for walk-up guests
  • Maintain documentation, including guest waivers and retail transactions and ensure each participant has properly filled out liability waivers
  • Assist with preparing rental equipment for chairs, cabanas, kayaks, paddleboards, and pedal boats, as well as mini golf equipment and returns
  • Perform safety checks on all rental equipment daily and after each guest use
  • Provide clear communication of instructions, including safety briefings for each rental participant before entering the water for the excursion
  • Maintain daily inventory of retail items, including soda, water and beach toys
  • Maintain weekly inventory of operating supplies and rental equipment
  • Attend all required program staff meetings and trainings
  • Adhere to the company dress code and wear issued uniform and nametag
  • Create a nurturing, positive, and professional environment while promoting program policies and procedures amongst staff, volunteers, and the community
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and respectfully with all staff and participants
  • Complete all other duties as specified during staff training and onboarding
Qualifications:
  • Must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and all major holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Completion of a background check
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work outside in extreme weather conditions, such as heat, cold, rain, and wind
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
