This role will be responsible for the daily operations relating to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Additionally, the PACS Administrator will act as an advocate in all digital imaging initiatives, supporting the customer and all reasonable service expectations This role will be expected to understand and troubleshoot most of the aspects relating to the PACS system. These will include operating systems, network protocols, and system administration software utilities. In addition, this employee will be the initial point of contact for most Imaging related issues. This role should possess some level of project management skills. Finally, the PACS Administrator must work diligently to develop a strong relationship with the diverse customer base. Strong communication channels must be built to ensure status feedback is delivered in a timely manner for quality customer satisfaction. This role maintains a positive vendor relationship, works closely with various departments to ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM digital image data into the PACS system as well as network transmission, RIS validation, and exceptions handling.

Required:

A. Graduate of a JRCERT approved program in an Allied Health profession.
B. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or Radiological Sciences
C. 5 years experience as an Allied Health professional
D. Minimum two years experience in Hospital Information Systems implementing Clinical Application Software preferred. Strong knowledge of current Microsoft Operating Systems, networking protocol, client/ server systems, communications, and hardware.
E. Preferably possess: A+, MCP, or MCSE certifications.
F. Preferably have ARRT, CNMT or RDMS certifications.
G. Knowledge and experience with Applications, Client, Server, Networking, and Operating Systems standards
H. Good critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
I. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care/contact for patients in the following age groups:
