Position:MRI TechnologistAbout BROC:At the Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic our goal is to provide a seamless continuum of health care services to maximize patients' outcomes and convenience. We offer an organized and coordinated continuum to provide better and timelier feedback between the patient, physician, and ancillary services provider. Our main campus is located on Bluebonnet, but we have various clinics and therapies across the state of Louisiana as well as the BROC foundation that supports local schools and athletic programs by providing services throughout various communities.Summary:The position is located in the imaging department of the medical clinics and reports directly to the Director of Imaging for all matters, including job duties, performance evaluations, approval of leave, and other assignments as deemed necessary for the benefit of the Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic (BROC). The nature of the duties is to provide a full complement of MRI services, through the safe and orderly operation of the clinic"'s diagnostic MRI laboratory. The MRI Tech treats patients in a caring, warm, and professional manner.Duties:•Performs all functions necessary to produce diagnostic quality MRI studies.•Prepares MRI equipment for daily use.•Correctly positions patients to minimize discomfort, while still obtaining the best possible scan.•Follows imaging protocols of the BROC physicians as well as those of interpreting Radiologists. Maintains communication with Radiologist as required to balance their imaging needs with those of BROC physicians.•Assists with all Accreditation requirements as requested by the Director of Imaging.•Maintains an inventory of supplies to perform MRIs.•Maintains equipment and schedules regular preventative maintenance. Informs the Director of Imaging of any equipment malfunctions.•Keeps laboratory area clean and secure.•Takes all precautionary and preventative measures to guard against MRI related injuries to self, patients, and other employees.•Performs other related duties as assigned and serves in whatever other capacity deemed necessary for successful completion of the mission and goals of BROC.Qualifications:•Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, with professional certification from the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the State of Louisiana preferred.•Prior work experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.•Reliable form of transportation to work daily•Ability to pass a drug screening•Ability to learn computerized medical office workBenefits:•Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance•Vacation Pay•Sick Pay•Holiday Pay•Long- and Short-Term Disability Options•Life InsuranceSalary:•Starting from $29 per hourThe Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
