Job summary

Oracle Database Administration. 8 - 15 years of Oracle upgrade & migration specialist or equivalent experience.

1. Strong knowledge on Database architecture design, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), DR/HA/backup solutions, ASM support, Golden Gate & Shell Scripting.

2. Participate in client/project meeting(s) for needs assessment and design review & change. Design, develop, implement, and maintain database for internal and external users.

3. Experience 10to11Yrs

5. Shift Day 08AM TO 05PM EST

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge on Database architecture design, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), DR/HA/backup solutions, ASM support, Golden Gate & Shell Scripting.
  • Participate in client/project meeting(s) for needs assessment and design review & change. Design, develop, implement, and maintain database for internal and external users/clients
  • Should have good previous experience in administering/upgradation/Migration Oracle DBs versions 11, 12 to 19c in a high availability environment, experience in implementing DB upgrades & Migration.
    • Run a zero-downtime upgrade using Oracle Golden Gate for replication.
    • Run a zero-downtime upgrade using Oracle Data Guard for replication.
    • Customize zero-downtime upgrades using the user-action framework of Fleet Patching and Provisioning.
    • Database Upgrade Assistant
    • Manual Command-line Upgrade
    • Transportable Tablespaces
    • Data Pump export/import
  • Strong Experience with Oracle KVA & PCA, Oracle Linux Golden Gate, Veridata, Streams a plus
  • Analyse the needs and requirements of users of existing and proposed database systems and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications to include access methods, access time, job control language, statistical methodologies, device allocation, validation checks, protection and security
  • Create, document, and implement standards and/or modelling to monitor and enhance the capacity and performance of the database Program and write codes as necessary.
