Job Summary: As a Radiologic Technologist with Computed Tomography, you will play a critical role in our healthcare facility's diagnostic imaging department. You will be responsible for operating CT scanners to obtain high-quality images for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your primary focus will be to ensure patient safety and comfort while producing accurate and clear images that assist medical professionals in making informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. CT Imaging: Perform CT scans on patients using advanced imaging equipment and technology to produce high-resolution images of the designated area for diagnostic purposes.
  2. Patient Care: Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CT equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely. Report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
  4. Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, yourself, and other healthcare staff.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete records of all CT scans performed, including patient information, imaging parameters, and any special instructions.
  6. Quality Assurance: Monitor image quality and make necessary adjustments to optimize image clarity. Identify and report any image artifacts or issues.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that imaging results meet diagnostic requirements.
  8. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety and infection control protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and the maintenance of a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist with CT specialization.
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • CPR certification (if required).
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to stay current with advances in radiologic technology and imaging procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
