Job DescriptionRole Summary:The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal in offshore living quarter modules.Role Priorities / Responsibilities: Install, modify and repair new and existing utility, supply and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water distribution systems, water closets and showers Interpret blueprints and architectural diagrams to correctly position and access systems and assess fit to code Work from building plans, blueprints and sketches to plan and lay out the routing, placement, slant, slope, fall and proper operation of systems and equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, including interactions between waste, gas and water systems Assemble, weld, bend, thread and adjust pipes, tubes, valves and fittings Install and maintain water systems under the guidance of a master plumber Evaluate site and customer requests to create estimates for time and materials Creates and contributes to a safe work environment and proactively identifies and corrects potential hazardsOther Responsibilities: Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers Be able to train lower classified co-workers within the plumbing disciplineEssential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: General knowledge and qualifications to install, alter and/or repair plumbing systems May require limited supervision and direction Proficient plumbing troubleshooting skillsEducation or Certification required (if applicable): Applicants must possess a valid Driver's License A motor vehicle record that meets fleet insurance requirements - No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
